Daytime Date Look

My husband and I were celebrating our 13 year anniversary. We decided to get a babysitter and go to a play. I love the theater. It was where I thought I would end up initially, and whenever I can get to a play, opera, etc. I go.

When I do my makeup on an everyday basis I go on auto-pilot because I've been doing it for so long, but there is always a method to my madness. When I stopped to think about what the method was behind a daytime date look, I came up with some criteria:

1. It had to be an amped up version of a typical daytime look.

2. It shouldn't be too intense (no black or grey smokey eyes)

3. I needed to feel comfortable eating my burger, and not worry about my makeup getting ruined.

This is the look I came up with, and I think it went off without a hitch...although, in the video you will have to beg pardon, because there is a fly buzzing around (minor hitch). When you're creating a daytime date makeup look for yourself here are some other things to think about:

What is the lighting? If you can replicate that lighting while doing your makeup you'll be able to know what your date is seeing.
If you are eating, please no red lips. You'll be so concerned about your red lip staying amazing that you'll forget all the fun your supposed to be having on your date.
Don't go overboard. It's easy to amp up makeup, but very tricky to take away. Go slow and step back every now and then to assess the entire look with your clothing choice.
