1 Blazer, 3 Seasons

When thinking about building a sustainable wardrobe it is important to not only think about the here and now (1 item, 3 ways), but also if the item works for more than one season. I'll bet that most items in your wardrobe could be worn for at least 2-3 seasons no matter where you live.

Today I'm taking a ringer tank top and blazer from Evereve and creating three outfits for three seasons. Enjoy the blog, and the video. Do let me know if you have any questions.

OUTFIT 1

We are currently in the season of Spring, so that is where we are beginning. I've paired the tank top and blazer combo with some linen blend paperbag pants (also from Evereve). This look might not seem too different from the fall look, but let me explain the simple differences and win you over to my side of thinking. Linen. It's a great fabric for spring, summer, and pre-fall. In a black pant you have nothing to worry about with wrinkles, because you won't be able to see them. The blazer is also a linen blend, but I think because the whole thing doesn't get wrinkly it still reads polished. To make this even more springy I've paired it with some turquoise, wood, and woven accessories. Do not be fooled friends. Accessories and fabric choices make a huge difference season to season.

Wear this outfit anywhere from drop offs, to meetings, brunch, and hanging out with the kiddos. It's super comfortable, easy, and timeless with a twist.

OUTFIT 2:

Replacing the linen pants with some black shorts is keeping this transition into summer easy and fun. Blazers and shorts are a major trend this year, and I for one am here for this one. I love these shorts from LOFT from last year, and they are still in great shape. Pair this with some turquoise rings, sandals, and more woven details for a great summer look. Great for get togethers, weekend fun, and more.

I can't believe we are talking about fall when spring feels like it has just arrived, but yet this linen blend blazer would be great for those beginning fall days. The color is great for that time of year, especially when paired with a leopard belt. I love coral/red with leopard. It is a winning combo. Instead of going back to the linen blend pants, in the fall I always want something more streamlined, classic, and fitted. These sutton pants from LOFT do the trick. Pair it with heels for work, and feel free to play around even more with a handbag choice. Suede would be lovely.
