1 Green Skirt, 3 Ways

I've been having trouble finding green utility pants for a month, and then it dawned on me. Why not find a skirt instead? I did some off season shopping at Ann Taylor LOFT and found this faux suede one in my size. Even though it's suede, the color is spot on, as are the pockets in the front for a camp utility style. I've created three looks to get your creative juices flowing with your own utility skirt, pant, short search.

OUTFIT 1

I featured this outfit in a 3 seasons skirt video a week ago. However, it needs to be repeated because the outfit just works. It's hitting several trends at once, and is super comfortable and easy to put together. This is the most casual look of the three as well. You've got a striped cable knit sweater paired with a tassle necklace. We've got nautical vibes on the top and utility vibes on the bottom half. Pair it with riding boots for warmth and leg coverage or a dressy sandal as the weather gets warmer. This is great for running errands, doing all the driving with drop offs and pick ups, or just hanging out with the kiddos.

OUTFIT 2

This outfit is so great because of its simplicity. The exciting parts about this outfit are the details, textures, and accessories. As spring rolls around it's nice to start wearing bracelets because you're going to be pushing your sleeves up more and more. Anytime we can emphasize the wrist or the ankle it calls attention to the slimmest parts of our body. Pairing this no pattern outfit with a leopard print earring makes this outfit less stuffy and more fun. Try out different prints, sizes, and colors here for a more "unique to you" look. Where are you wearing this? Anywhere where business casual is the name of the game. However, let's be clear. Anytime I say business casual I'm also including stay-at-home moms as well. I feel great in an outfit like this, so just because I'm not going into an office doesn't mean I don't like to dress up for life, savy?

OUTFIT 3

This might be my favorite option of all because it's slightly daring without being crazy. We've mixed a gray blue and white striped button down with the utility. Why does this work? The utility vibe is on the masculine side, so pairing it with something masculine makes sense aesthetically. The two pieces talk nicely to one another. They share a vibe. How to we keep this from going too masculine? With a delicate necklace, pearls or otherwise, and delicate rings. Where are you wearing this? Same places as outfit 2. It's dressy enough for the workplace, but casual enough to meeting someone for lunch or run errands. Play with the shoes for more unique to you options.
