3 Ways to Style Kaki Shorts

Kaki is one of those colors that comes back every year. It's classic, preppy, European, etc. Find a color that suits your skin tone and you'll be amazed at how many things go with your shorts. For me personally, I like finding classic with a twist.

OUTFIT 1

Monochromatic dressing is not boring. It is chic. It also happens to be easy. The key here is to add in texture and shine. Nothing has to match exactly. In fact, it's better if it doesn't. Pick items that are in the same color family with different textures that I just mentioned and your outfit becomes visually interesting.

This is a great one for running all those errands that you have everyday. It's also a great one for travel. You're pulled together with a hint of men's wear influence, but keeping it feminine with the pink pineapples and paperbag waist detailing. Add a pop of color in your accessories, and your kaki shorts become the item that connects all these pieces together.

While the weather is a little goofy right now in the mid west, I've actually worn this outfit before posting about it. This is a great one for those days that start in the 50's-60's and warm up to 70-80's. The sweater is a mock neck preppy style with the wide stripes, but the sleeves are bell shaped. Anchoring this statement sweater with the kaki shorts instead of black keeps this outfit great for day and more on the casual side. How do you dress it up?
