3 Ways to Wear a Fun Short

Summer can get pretty hot. This year, I am all about playing with color and having fun with shorts. I've got three ways to style and wear your fun short collection.

OUTFIT FORMULA 1

This is my go to outfit formula for shorts. A button down + a fun short (or any short). Just like it's fun to mix and match masculine and feminine, it's fun to mix and match sophistication levels. The shorts are laid back in linen and a bright color. The button down is a neutral with texture. Sophisticated meets playful. Check. Wear this to backyard events, doing all the pick ups and errands, or the weekend for a fun day.

OUTFIT FORMULA 2:

This is a great one for those days when it's a little cooler in the mornings and warmer in the afternoons. It also works for those times when you're heading somewhere with air conditioning and might need an extra layer. Rock this with leather sandals in a neutral or metallic for an easy win, or go bold with color.

OUTFIT FORMULA 3:

This is a great option for those backyard get togethers that go from mid afternoon into evening. The black shorts are playful in the eyelet detail, yet sophisticated because of the black. The blouse is the hero of the show with an ikat pattern and fun summer colors. Pair with metallic sandals for a can't be beat look.
