3 Ways Wednesdays for February are all about taking items from holiday, or other seasons and reinventing them for this month. I love my clothes and I want to wear them, but sometimes you get an item of clothing in your head as only for this specific time period. How can you break out of that mold? I've got some tips and tricks.

OUTFIT 1
How do you take a skirt with bright holiday red in it and make it everyday? Bring out the other colors in the skirt and add some laid back glam. This month I am all about creams, whites, and mushrooms. Pairing anything with these colors elevates an outfit and keeps getting dressed simple.
The chunky knit of the skirt plays well with the detailing in the sweater. The pop of understated glam in the necklace takes this outfit from preppy to something a little more feminine. Wear this to the office, for an afternoon get together, or just because. You can do and go anywhere with this one.

OUTFIT 2
This one plays that line of casual, preppy, and dressed up. I've kept the same skirt, necklace, tights, and boots. The only thing that has changed is my shirt. This denim button up from Cloth and Stone is beyond soft. The color is a great in between medium and dark wash so it can be paired with anything. I love putting a masculine shirt with a feminine skirt. The clash that this creates is interesting, unexpected, and fun. Wear this outfit for all your running around or when you need a little edge to your life.

OUTFIT 3
This is your power outfit of the three. Dressing something up with black is a great way to elevated and sophisticate any item of clothing. Traditionally speaking black is considered a "city" color whereas brown is considered a "country" color. Wear this outfit anywhere. Date night, get together in the afternoon, work, errands, etc.
