3 Ways Wednesdays: Corduroy Pants

Sometimes by mid to late January I'm starting to feel that itch of reworking my winter wardrobe. It feels like winter might last forever, and I'm getting tired of my outfits. However, it never fails that when I start thinking about 3 ways to wear something, I'm invigorated about outfit options all over again.

OUTFIT 1

This is a great outfit for knocking around the house, running errands, or casual meet ups. There's pattern, texture, and shine with this one so it's a triple threat outfit. I love the colors in this shirt from Rails. They hit it out of the park every time for me with pattern. This one has navy blue, light blue, and fuschia. If you didn't know, Viva Magenta, is the color of the year this year according to PANTONE. PANTONE, if you didn't know, runs the world of color. Which means they run the world because everything has color. We're definitely stealing from the boys with this one, but because the leg of the pant is a flare it makes it a little more feminine and that added pop of fuschia helps balance out an otherwise masculine outfit.

OUTFIT 2

This outfit is great for lots of different places, including work and zoom calls. When you need to dress up a bit pair your cords with a blouse. I love the juxtaposition of pairing something casual with sophisticated. The interesting thing here is that corduroy means cloth of kings, but the material has become synonimous with an everyday man's pant now that is still works. I love the detail of the pattern on this blouse with the billowing sleeves and v-neck. Great for visual interest and creating a longer body line. Pair with a simple necklace for work, or go bold for play. Same with accessories on this one. Find a blue bag to accentuate the blue in the blouse and you are on your way to another level with this outfit.

OUTFIT 3

This is my go anywhere, do anything option. Whether you're getting together for lunch with a friend, significant other, meeting a client, going to work, drop off, etc. the options of where to wear this outfit are endless. Change out the accessories to amp up or casual down the look. This is a great building block outfit. The sweater from Evereve is one of the best sweaters I've purchased this year. The fit is impeccable, and flows around the body without being too large. You can tuck this sweater into pants and skirts as well. The pants have such a micro corduroy that is almost looks like velvet when you move. Easy outfit for that European chic look.
