Every year Memorial weekend roles around and surprises me. Not only are we flooded with gardening at our house, but it's also a fun time to check out the sales. Sales are great. Who doesn't like to save some money. However, sales can be overwhelming and you can end up with some items that you didn't really want or don't work for your life and wardrobe. I've got some shopping tips to share to get you ready for the upcoming weekend.
TIPS
Make a list
Upgrade your items
Replenish What You Love
Have you made your list? It's a list that you keep (digital, mental, or physical) with items on there that are a) missing from your wardrobe, b) need an upgrade, or c) were so well loved that you need to replace. I like to start mine halfway through a season because that's when I'm in the thick of getting dressed in the current weather situation and have a better understanding of what it missing, etc.
Memorial weekend sales are also a great time to upgrade items. A lot of the time, brands (especially smaller companies) will run sales this weekend when they normally don't. If you are into brands like Cleobella, Parker Clay, Agolde, this is a great weekend to check if those items are on sale somewhere.
Before the weather gets super hot, it is important to check your staples. White T-shirts, Black tank tops, shorts, etc. Whatever your summer go to pieces are check to make sure they still fit, are a style that you love, and are in good condition. If not then they go in the gardening or work around the house pile and now is the time to refresh your key piece.
Enjoy the video, and I hope you find some wonderful sales in your future!
