Summer Accessory Update

There's nothing like the summer to pull out your saturated shoes, bags, and more. Today we're talking all about updating your accessory wardrobe and remembering to have some fun with color this summer.

There are three key elements for summer: woven details, natural stones and materials, and saturated color. Apply these elements to any accessory and you are summer ready. What does this mean? It means swapping out your nude pebbled leather handbag for something woven, in a natural material, or amped up with color. It means swapping out the black close toed heel for something colorful or metallic.

Let's talk metal. Gold is my go to tone for summer, but silver absolutely works with lots of the blues and blacks as well. Whatever you've been wearing in the spring, try swapping out a few pieces for the other metal for summer. You can also mix metals as well.

Last quick tip for today. Don't forget about your belts. This can be a really fun area to showcase some attitude and personality. Whether it's a woven leather or natural material with graphic detail belts are great for keeping some of that summer blousiness contained.
