What to Wear to the Zoo

When you are traveling somewhere, like the zoo or a theme park, with the kiddos; dressing can become a whole other ballgame. You have certain demands on your movement, handbag, and shoe needs that you might not normally have. Today we are breaking down some #outfitideas for such occasions.

QUICK TIPS

- This is not the time for platform, or high heels in general. Especially if you have little ones. You need to be able to walk long distances, push a wagon/stroller, carry a decent sized handbag, and hold someone while doing all of this. Go easy on your glamorous self. Find a killer wrap around sandal in a metallic or skin tone leather that will make your skin pop.

- Leave time for yourself, or plan ahead. What do I mean? It can be exhausting getting everyone else ready, snacks, etc. that by the time you get around to putting yourself together you've run out of steam and haven't left the house yet. Two suggestions. 1. Get up earlier and get everything ready for a grab and go situation, or 2. Pack the day before and get your outfit ready. I personally like to have one outfit option ready to go the night before just in case I start running out of steam because someone is unhappy about something that morning.

- Great style makes you forget what you're wearing. If you try something on, and it doesn't feel quite right don't even purchase it. You will have confidence when you know (deep down in your soul...too dramatic?) that you look good. If you're unsure, then that item is taking up valuable space in your closet, your mind, and your wallet.
