What to Wear: Valentine's Day

Whether you're getting together with friends and family for something casual, going out to dinner with a significant other, or something in between I have some tips and outfit inspiration for you.

OUTFIT 1: CASUAL EVENT

Nothing takes an outfit to casual like denim. Break out your favorite boot cut mid wash (because we are slowly easing our way into lighter denim for Spring) and pair it with a printed blouse. Not only is this a great option for a casual Friday at work, it's also great for getting together in the afternoon during the week. You are pulled together with a pop of color, but not over the top screaming Valentine's Day.

OUTFIT 2: IN BETWEEN

Everyone needs a few outfits for those in between events. Maybe you're grabbing coffee with the gals, or meeting someone special for lunch. This outfit is great pre-dinner. You can wear it to work and get together after for apps with friends, or meet someone for lunch. There's no denim in this outfit so we've upped the dressiness factor. I've added some edge with a black croc belt to an otherwise sweet dress. Because we're celebrating Valentine's Day I've chosen to pull out the blush pink with my sweater. If I wanted to take this dress to dinner I would pull out the navy or the black that's in the background of the dress.

OUTFIT 3: GOING OUT

This outfit is just fun. Take this one for a spin for a fancier Galentine's meetup, or for dinner with your significant other. It's laid back, edgy, but also elevated for a late night dinner. White and black are classic, so I'm not messing with the color palette. I've got shine from the statement necklace peaking through, and a few different textures between the shirt and faux leather joggers. I'm finishing this look up with a simple clutch and calling it a home run.
