Adele's Vogue Story Makeup Look

It's no secret that I take a lot of inspiration from the magazine Vogue. They have some of the best in the industry working for their visual stories, and this was no exception. Adele looks fabulous all the way through her article and her cover. Instead of tackling the cover photograph, which didn't really showcase her makeup, I decided to recreate her look in her article. It is breathtaking and just a gorgeous example of beauty makeup.

TIPS FOR RECREATING THIS LOOK

As always it is important to remember that you are not the person that you are taking inspiration from. You are beautiful and perfect just the way you are. So don't get down on yourself if your lips are not as full and plump as Adele's or your bone structure is slightly different. Take inspiration from the makeup and don't feel like you need to copy it completely. That being said, I definitely did techniques to make the look as authentic as possible. So depending on your goal, you make it work.

Part of the fun of these Vogue and magazine looks is recreating something with what I already have. Unless it is something very specific that I can't create myself, like a red lipstick, I only allow myself to use what I currently have. For example, I don't use lip liners. It's just not my thing, so instead I used two different lipsticks to create Adele's lip lined look. Is it as precise? No, but I got pretty close and didn't spend any extra money. Plus it made me think outside of the box and use my creativity.

The last thing I want to touch on, is that this might seem like a heavier beauty look for you in the full form. So feel free to take it down a notch, and I think you'll figure out a good stopping point for yourself along the way that's just what I call "pretty" makeup.
