Bubble Gum Pink Lip Look

This week I was inspired by all the bright pastel colors with the upcoming holidays and special events. Enjoy the tips below and the tutorial, and let me know how you get on. All products will be listed in the description box of the video on YouTube.

When matching undertones of a lipstick it is important to understand warm and cool. Especially when your makeup look is based on a vibrant lip. Take a moment and hold up two shirts in the same color family. Which one speaks better with the lipstick? Do they feel like they're fighting or having a conversation? Do not make the mistake of simply looking at a lipstick in the tube and expect it to be that color on your lips unless it is a highly pigmented one. Something like Lisa Eldridge's Luxuriously Lucent Lip Color is on the sheerer side, so it will take one's natural lip color into the equation.

The other tip I will leave you with, is taking balance into the mix. I didn't understand this five years ago, but balancing a brighter lip means that you should back off on the eyes. This is great news for my moms, and anyone who has a job that begins before the sun rises. In your 20 minutes to get ready routine slap on the lip, with a matching or complimenting gloss for the handbag, and get those eyes done with one to two colors. Feel free to use your bronzer as well for eyeshadow.

It's a clean, healthy, and spring forward look. Enjoy!
