Chanel Inspired Makeup Look

I've recently been rewatching a few things on Netflix during my morning workouts and came across 7 Days Out. It is a fabulous documentary style show that takes different events 7 days out from the big conclusion, (a restaurant opening, a dog show, etc.). One of the events was a Chanel Haute Couture show when Karl Lagerfeld was still with us. Not only was the fashion and set to die for, but the makeup really caught my eye.

A brighter lip look is such a fun way to get ready for spring. No matter where you live, you can transition your makeup and finger nails long before you might be able to wear spring trends. This is what we love about spring. The reawakening of the earth and our travel spirits. The Chanel runway show went for more of a pink look with their beautiful soft pink and cream clothing, however I still think it works with this more saturated popsicle red.

No matter which lip color you choose to go with, make sure that the emphasis is on the lips and don't spend too much time on the eyes. Grab one or two coordinating eyeshadows for a cohesive look, a little liner to stand up against the bold lip, and you're off.
