Date Night Vacation Makeup

You're on vacation and you want to live it up a bit by going out to a nicer restaurant. Whether you bring the kiddos or not, it's nice to amp up or refresh your makeup for dinner. My favorite way to do dinner makeup is to play up the eyes. Why? Eating and drinking is the main event and the last thing I want on my mind is whether or not my lipstick still looks good or if it's traveled to my teeth.

If you use a liquid shadow the work is basically done for you. When you're on vacation, especially with your family, you don't have a ton of time to spend on yourself. I love Giorgio Armani and Lisa Eldridge liquid eyeshadows. They are impactful and easy to control. I find that they do need a little drying down time; so be sure to place it on the lid, blend out the edges, and then leave it alone for a few minutes while you do your other makeup. Once it's dry, you can layer on powder shadows to your heart's content. Again, on vacation I like to keep it simple because the kiddos need things, and let's face it, I'm starving at this point.

My last tip for a night out on vacation is keeping the lips simple. You are going to an eating event, otherwise known as dinner. Skip the bright lipsticks and wear a gloss. It's easy to reapply, and you don't have to worry about it traveling around your face while eating. As you know, my favorite gloss is by Lisa Eldridge. Songbird and Muse are excellent choices for an eye look with a darker eye.

Enjoy your nights out on vacation, and let me know how you get on.
