Have you ever wondered what to wear with your summer time colorful clothing? I'm not talking about accessories, I'm talking about makeup. How do you style your makeup so that it doesn't compete with what you're wearing. We want everything to be supporting each other.

When you're wearing brighter colors around the face (especially around the face), like a shirt or a scarf, it is important that you know how to balance that shock of color with your makeup. I like to go for impact, but keep it reigned in.
For this tutorial I wanted to do a bronze eyeshadow look because bronze will compliment the bright blue of the shirt. Next week I'll be featuring the same shirt, but with a lip look instead. Today's tutorial is all about the eyes. The key is not to go too smokey for daytime because the shirt should be the star of the show. It is covering a large portion of my upper body and therefore wins the visual impact of the viewer. Supporting a shirt like this with makeup can be a little tricky. Here are some tips.
TIPS
Just like with wedding makeup, you want to be wearing your colorful clothing when doing your makeup. This will make a huge difference in how much makeup you put on your face.
Start with the area you want to pop. If you're doing an eye look, start there and balance the rest of your makeup accordingly. Same goes for a lip look. Otherwise you may find yourself unbalanced and you wind up with a heavier look than you previously wants.
