Makeup Uniform: Creating a Viva Magenta Lip Look

Every month I like to shake it up a bit with my makeup routine. I'm thinking about the clothes I'm probably wearing the most and what mood I'm feeling for the month. This month I've been obsessed with getting a Viva Magenta lip color from lip products that I already own. Viva Magenta is the color of the year according to Pantone, and February felt like the best time bring this into my life.

I strongly believe in using the products that you already own, but using them in new ways each season to keep things fresh. You could purchase a lip product that you don't have to mix and match, but then what happens to your other lip products that you already own?

Because I'm a makeup artist I have quite a few lipsticks, and I want to make sure I show lots of love to all of them. I found that this month I want to play into those red tones without going bright red. Mixing something like Lisa Eldridge Luxuriously Lucent Lip Colour in Painterly and mixing it with my Lisa Eldridge lip gloss in Beauty. This combo creates a deeper rose pink that mimics the Viva Magenta shade and adds life to the face. A great lip combination for the month of February's theme of love and friendship.
