Warm Vacation Makeup Look

Ah warm weather...for some it's a constant and for us in the midwest it is a dream waiting to come true. If you are traveling to a warmer destination for Spring Break, or just to get away I've got some tips and tricks for your beauty routine, and don't forget to check out my Spring Break Warm Edit as well.

In the video you get two looks in one. The first rendition is if you're hanging out on the beach all day or lounging by the pool and going in the water. The second look is for those days your sight seeing, going to a theme park, or not going in the water. Here are a few tips:

SKIP THE MASCARA IF GOING IN THE WATER

What?! What about waterproof? Look, I don't know if you've gotten mascara in your eye from pool or ocean water before, but ouch. If you know you're going in the water with your kiddos or whoever you're vacationing with skip the mascara and do a quick clean skin makeup look. You'll still feel pulled together with your skin and a gloss. Plus you won't be secretly in pain because you got mascara in your eye.

USE YOUR FACE POWDERS AS EYESHADOW

This is one of the oldest tricks in the book. Just because it's labeled a bronzer doesn't mean it can only be used on the face. Double check your labels. It will indicate if a product cannot be used near the eye. If you can, then bronzer is an excellent crease color. Plus your whole look with be cohesive because you've already got the bronzer on the rest of your face.

GOING OUT? ADD SOME BRONZE EYESHADOW

It's feels a little weird to pull out a bronze eyeshadow in early March, but not if you're some place warm. Embrace your location and go for it. Do a bronze smokey eye, or just add a little to your lid for a pop of warmth. You'll feel glamorous and easy breezy because you're rocking a one shadow look with impact.
