Winter Smokey Eye Look

I love a smokey eye in the winter. It makes you feel cool without being over the top. How do me make sure that we don't go too far. Read on to find out.

TIPS:

When doing a smokey eye for the daytime it is important not to bring the smoke all the up through the crease. Go dark on your lid, add a pop of glitter for dimension, and use lighter blending colors for the crease. This will give you a smokier look without taking it into night time.

Make sure you are choosing a smokey color that coordinates with your clothes. I would also recommend doing a daytime smokey eye with something other than a black outfit. With a black outfit go for something like a liner look. Add some smoke to a colorful sweater, white shirt, or print. It will be an unexpected combination and create interest.

Lastly, make sure you balance out your heavier eye look with a lighter lip. Go with a gloss or tinted lip balm. You don't have to whiten out your lips or go lighter. Just find a color that matches your lips or one shade different. Keep it simple because you've already spent your time on your eyes.

Enjoy, and let me know how you get on.
